K.A.R.A.T. spent thte afternoon with Irwin Police Department and K9 Officer Vegas.  A hands-on approach to criminal justice was researched by taliking and speaking with our communty's police department , getting first hand knowledge of what it takes to get started in a career with the criminal justice system.















Home Depot and KARAT spent the morning together gathering material needed for a construction project that is instrumental in teaching the students different subjects such as math and much more!

The slideshow below is Day One of the Vietnam War Reenactment with Timeline Productions and The KARAT School of Learning, September 9, 2010.  It was a great day full of hands-on learning, recreating and discussing the Vietnam War and its era.  It will never be forgotten, nor will all the soldiers who gave their lives. 
This slideshow is Day Two of the Vietnam War Reenactment with Timeline Productions and The KARAT School of Learning, September 10, 2010. Much was learned and recreated about the soldiers, the Vietcong, the battle and the men and women who fought.  Thank you to all of the men and women who serve our great country!!!
What a wonderful day it was, to share love, music and the Christmas spirit with those who are gracious and receiving. Alabaster Theatre and KARAT spent the afternoon with some of Westmoreland County's loveliest people at the Greensburg Nursing Home.
K.A.R.A.T. takes a great day to attend a math, science and history lesson at Palmer's Farm.  Now this is learning!!!
K.A.R.A.T. combined science, math and PA History into two trips to the Laurel Caverns.  First hand accounts of Fossils, eye opening caverns with bats and other creatures, the history of Fayette County and it's compounds .... Such an incredible way to learn!!!
It takes more than you think ... to have an animal crafted with great taxidermy craftsmanship. The K.A.R.A.T. students had the afternoon learning about the steps, hard work and knowledge it takes to breath life into a lifeless animal. Seven springs hosted the 2012 PTA Show. It was an awesome day and several interests were peaked ... hmmm ... maybe we have some careers or hobbies in the making with K.A.R.A.T.
